I decided to jump on the bandwagon and do some Marik fanart for his birthday, December 23rd! 8D

You're probably staring at this with an expression like so let me explain. XD

I think a lot of people associate Marik with Ra because of his god card, but I actually think that as a tombkeeper, he's similar to Anubis, the Egyptian god who's quite literally also a tombkeeper. Anubis judges the hearts of the dead with a scale to see if they are lighter than a feather, so that's why I represented him with the Millennium Scale and not the more familiar Rod.

EDIT: I uploaded it as 1024x768 in case you'd like to download to use as wallpaper. I have the original at 2048x1536 though, so I can resize it for anyone that needs a different resolution. <3
